PDG Alastair Paterson

Alastair Paterson is an inspirational Rotary leader and enjoys the whole-hearted support of all Rotarians in Grand Cayman and of his family (Meg, his wife, and daughters : Emma and Penny).

His major accomplishments in Rotary since he first joined in 1984 are :
- Assistant Governor for the Cayman Islands (2003-2004 during which time Alastair organised the very successful Family of Rotary conference attended by all 3 Grand Cayman clubs;
- Charter President of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Sunrise - 2002 / 2003, during which time membership increased from 34 to 64;
- President of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman - 1996 / 1997, during which time membership increased by 20%, over the 100 mark for the first time;
- Eight times a Paul Harris Fellow;
- District Conference chairman for PDG Richard Harris in 1993;
- Board member of Rotary clubs for over 10 years with responsibilities ranging from fund raising, sergeant and fellowship to community, vocational and international service.
- Started Cayman HospiceCare in 1997;
- and Vice chairman of the Pines Retirement Home.

Alastair Paterson is also property consultant with special expertise in development managementn financial and contract management and valuations. Commercial and resort residential are his two areas of main speciality.
