2010-11 Diana White
Diana was born and raised in England, and was a banker by profession, working for Barclays Bank in England, New York and the Caribbean. In New York, Diana administered the bank’s Westchester County branches.
Diana and Roger have two children and three grandsons. In 1975, Diana took a 12-year sabbatical to raise her children. She and Roger have lived in the Virgin Islands for 23 years. For the last 16 years, they have operated their business support company offering business consulting and bookkeeping services.
Diana's first introduction to Rotary was in 1979 when Roger joined the Rotary Club of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands and Diana took part in many of the Rotary activities. They travelled to many parts of the world with the Bank but there was always a Rotary club, from the Caribbean to the Pacific to Europe. When they in St. Thomas in 1987, Diana joined the Inner Wheel Club of St. Thomas, served as President in 1990/91and District Vice Chair in 1991/1992. She joined the Rotary Club of Charlotte Amalie in 1994 and was President in 2001/2002.
Diana served as Assistant Governor from 2004 to 2007 and Governor for 2010-2011. She has been an active participant in the Rotary Leadership Institute in the US, and was the District RLI Director from 2007-2009. During that time, she was largely responsible for bringing the seminars into the District.
Diana was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship by the Rotary Club of St. Thomas in 1989, and also by District 7020 in 2007. She received the Charlie Braham Achievement Award from the Rotary Club of Kingston in 2010. Diana is a Major Donor to the Rotary Foundation, and a Charter Member of the District 7020 Paul Harris Society.
Diana is a strong proponent of the internationality of Rotary and believes it is the conduit for achieving Rotary's goal of world peace and international understanding.
