Errol Charles Alberga (Jr.) is the Senior Partner of the multi-disciplinary firm, Alberga Graham Jamaica,
which he established in 1980.


  •  Born in Jamaica
  •  Gained his early education there
  •  Graduated in Architecture with commendation in design from Thames Polytechnic in London, England, in 1972.


Prior to the establishment of the Partnership in 1980, Errol held various professional positions:-

  •  Project Director, Agricultural Research Project Unit (Ministry of Construction and Works, Jamaica)
  •  Senior Executive Architect (Ministry of Works, Jamaica)
  •  Assistant Architect (London Borough of Hounslow, England)


Professional Awards

  •  One of six finalists (International competition for the proposed headquarters for the Caribbean  Community 'Caricom' Secretariat in Georgetown, Guyana) 1977
  •  Winner, Architectural competition for the Monument to Jamaican National Hero the Rt.  Excellent Sir William Alexander Bustamante (located in the National Heroes Park) 1978
  •  Governor General's Award for Excellence in Architecture (11 times since 1978)


Organizations/Associations

  •  Royal Institute of British Architects
  •  Association of Caribbean Architects
  •  Jamaican Institute of Architects
  •  Jamaica Historical Society
  •  Architects Registration Board of Jamaica
  •  Advisory Board of the Caribbean School of Architecture

 Errol has also held the top positions in various organizations:
  •  President of The Jamaican Institute of Architects (1979 -1981)
  •  Chairman of the Joint Consultative Committee for the Building and Construction Industry in Jamaica, (1980-1982)
  •  Chairman of the Architects Registration Board of Jamaica (2002 - 2007)


Personal Life

  •  Errol is married to Leonie since 1970, a Paul Harris Fellow
  •  Errol and Leonie have a son who is a Structural Engineer,
  •  Errol and Leonie have a daughter who is an Architect and partner in the firm
  •  Both children are Paul Harris Fellows.
  •  Errol and Leonie have been blessed with two grandchildren.


Rotary Involvement

  •  Charter Member of the Rotary Club of St. Andrew North since 1987
  •  President of the Club in 1991 - 1992
  •  18 years perfect attendance since.


At the District level

  •  AG for Jamaica North-East 1997-1999 (responsible for the Rotary Clubs of Downtown Kingston, St. Andrew North, Ocho Rios and Port Antonio.)
  •  Deputy Chairman for the 1999 District Conference
  •  Chairman for the Rotary Community Corps in 2001 - 2002
  •  Chairman for the Rotary Foundation for three years 2003-2006
  •  Chairman for Community Service 2006-2007
  •  Chairman for Strategic Planning 2007-2008
  •  Chairman for Club Service 2008-2009.


Rotary Foundation

  •  Multiple Paul Harris Fellow
  •  Rotary Benefactor
  •  Charter Member of the District Paul Harris Society,


Beyond the District. Rotarian Errol has attended

  •  20 District Assemblies and Conferences,
  •  18 International Conventions.


The Rotary Club of Kingston honoured Rotarian Errol with the PDG Charlie Braham Achievement Award in
2001 for outstanding Rotary Service. He received Rotary's Centennial Service Award for Professional
Excellence in celebration of Rotary's Centennial year 2004-2005. Errol is a graduate of the Rotary Leadership
Institute and Discussion Leader of the Sunshine Division in Florida.


Rotary Philosophy
To promote the 4-Way Test in his business and personal life because it is important to practice high ethical
standards at all times.
